Just thought id start this so i wouldnt be going off topic in the sister club thread. does anyone here think it will go ahead and pass? i hope it does as a republican but i cant see it happening. it is the most richest and powerful part of the uk so im lead to believe. so that may go in its favour.

Scotland?

Is this a joke?

I would have thought London and the SE, it being the home of industry, finance, commerce, the Government etc.

What 'power' does Scotland have?

IMO alot of this would come down to who owns the natural resources in the North Sea. I remember seeing a Torry argue that they are British not Scottish resources so if Scotland was to leave they could not take control of them...

It'd be great craic in fairness.

Interesting times with SNP and Plaid both in power

If Scotland doesn't win the rights to the North Sea resources I think you would see a very different result in any Referendum. London Finance probably bank rolls half the UK.

Couldn't see it being passed I'm afraid. Too many **** around. Speaking of **** it'd be a laugh to see all the confused loyalists up North.

Imagine the muppets that hang Scotish flags around the place. They wouldn't know what to do with themselves. It'd be like - Do we hang up the flag or burn it cause they are lundys or what do we do?? laugh.gif

Are you sure? Are they even sure?
My ancesters came from England. Would you think it would be reasonable for me to hang English flags from the telephone poles in Cork?
