I went to book an eye test today as I have not had one for a while (the last one was over two years ago when I was working)
I was happy to hear that I could have one done straight away although I would have to wait 15 minutes. How bad, sez I, 15 minutes is not bad. When I told them I was now unemployed and would have to use my medical card, I was told I’d have to fill out a form and send it to the health board. This would normally take around 8 WEEKS to be approved. From 15 minutes to 8 weeks.  That’ll teach me to be jobless.  BTW (that’s by the way Pete  ) in case he reads the forum, the guy in the shop was sound.
