Like what Soccerlady suggested for the Bray match, perhaps it could be done Saturday afternoon before the Derry game to drum up a bit of interest, if the weather eases off.

It's a Saturday, so town will be packed and City fans that would be willing to join in, would mostly likely be available, so a bigger crowd.

The atmosphere is the biggest factor in people returning to the 'Cross, in my opinion, so give people a sample of what the match day experience is like. Sing a few songs, wave a few scarves. A big vocal group would be brilliant.

I emailed the club and the CCOSC and they were in favour of it.

There's the Show the Racism the Red Card posters in the club shop, so people could be handing them out. Getting things like posters for free would make them feel more involved.

The bigger the crowd, the more effective it would be and people with a "hopping on the bandwagon" mentality might go, because of that, so I'd urge anyone who could make it, to do so, if it's a dry day.

We were talking on the bus and to some club staff yesterday and one idea that was coming out a lot was for fans to gatehr at Daunt square Friday before the game for a few hours.

Have flags, banners and make noise. Try to convicne people to come along to the game, to help save our club.

Invite politicians-apparently Ciaran Lynch wrote to Red FM saying teh club has to be saved. Get them all out to show their support.

Invite celebrities- John Creedon? would he come? The Frank and Walters? The bishop. Anyone with an interest

Invite all former players, and City legends. Morley has been talking about saving the club, Im sure others would do the same.

Anyone interested in saving the club get them to come out and show their support. Buy tickets in teh shop, buy merchandise.

FORAS: Hand out flyers maybe?

Plenty of noise, and show any possible investors that we have dedicated support that are willing to help the club, and the potential is there.

Donations boxes maybe Dunno how legal this is but someone who passes might be willing to throw a few euro in even if they dont want to go to the game.

Red FM, will plug it all week, get on to 96 to spread the word. Invite the Echo photographers and hope they do a piece about it.

And then everyone heads out to the cross afterwards together, hopefully picking up a few people on the way.

We can talk to teh public, show them what City means to us and what it could mean to them, show them the passion colour etc that they havnt had the privilege of experiencing before. Keep it positive 'Help us save your club' etc.

it would work well I think, but only if people attend. If its a case of another 'homecoming' crowd it will be ineffective. Ideally any city fan who can will attend and drag people along and people on the streets might take interest. There are plenty of students and tourists around that might not even know theres a game on.

I think its worth a shot anyway. Show that City fans will not give up but that we need help to save our club.

This may be a bad question, but is this season definately gonna be Dayler's last season?

I heard that Bohs had some trouble and problems with it.

I'm writing an article for my school's magazine and it wouldn't be the best thing to say that this is the grounds last season, if it's not!! laugh.gif

Thanks in advance

2 days before the FAI Cup semi final and still no match thread??

I'd be happy to draw and take them back to the Cross on, what I hope will be changed to, a bank holiday Monday, in front of our biggest crowd of the season.

Hoggy Lordan Dan Billy
Leon Gamble Healy Farrelly
O'Flynn Behan

On a sidenote, has Murphy been keeping up his fitness with the Under 21's?

This is absolutely brilliant. Tied with the most points, scored the most goals and the biggest goal difference. The only thing that would be of concern there is goals conceded.

But Rovers have only conceded one less than us, Drogheda have conceded two less than us and Pat's have conceded two more than us.

And the defenece seem to be starting to gel. Hopefully, we'll have Hoggy back for Derry away, which will improve the defence even further.
