Cork City -v- Derry City Evergreen Bar: 7.30 K.O. Watch our 2005 league decider against Derry in the company of your fellow Cork City supporters and some former Cork City greats, including Dave Barry, who tonight will become a member of FORAS and sign that famous Cork City 1 Bayern Munich 0 photo that Kevin Lynch has offered as a prize to the first person to sign 10 people for FORAS. Tonight our club has lost out on a significant gate receipt, so we will ask for a small donation which will be given to the club to help offset the loss. If you give €1 or €1000 it's up to you. If people want to use the night as a means to exchange auction items and pass the proceeds to FORAS, we'll be happy to accomodate that. The weather may be cloudy, so let a night's entertainment in the Evergreen bar be your silver lining tonight

The Lord Mayor of Cork, the City's first citizen, today adds his name to the growing list of FORAS members when he joins FORAS and launches www.forastrust.ie in the Lord Mayor's chambers today at City Hall in front of local and national media.
Many city councillors will be present to support FORAS in our efforts to maintain our football club's future and we are grateful for that support. It is essential that all our public representatives get behind the campaign to protect our clubs future, not only to protect the employment it brings to the City but also to protect a true sporting ambassador for the region. Cork City Football Club has represented Cork and the country as a whole throughout Europe, east to west from Russia to Iceland, North to South from Finland to Cyprus. The club and it's supporters have made friends all over the continent and in turn have brought many supporters to Cork itself, notably from our Italian friends in Bologna who are regular visitors. www.forastrust.ie will launch today 1st Sept. 2008 at 4pm. Established 1.9.8.4 to mirror the founding year of our great club. FORAS would like to thank Declan Carey and Trevor Carey for their expertise and time in the creation of the website.

Paypal currently takes nearly €9 out of every yearly membership fee lodged.
This is the cost of our operating a business account with paypal. Can you please bear this in mind when paying your membership. We ask that people either add €9 to the paypal some or preferrably just avoid that cost altogether by organising a bank transfer or cheque to the required amount. Thanks

FORAS have previously asked people to submit their queries by email or PM to produce a FAQ section on our website
While we have received some queries, which we appreciate, it appears to us that people are slow to use email to communicate queries. In the interest of maintaining open communication with Cork City FC supporters, we have started this Q&A thread. This is not a discussion thread. All questions will be answered to the best of our ability, however If you feel the need to discuss our responses, please do so HERE We'd also appreciate it if people did not make assumptions and answer on our behalf, though feedback is welcome as always HERE |
