Pity. I had quite like the idea of an 8 O Clock kick off.

I had pictured us struggling nil all or losing one nil and Pats holding Dalk so that we became champions with 15 minutes to go regardless of our result.

Hystery mayhem and pitch invasions break out.

Now if this happens well be waiting around for 15 minutes for the other game to finish with the stewards trying to sheppard us out of an empty stadium.

First world problems eh

If we beat Sligo And harps, we won't need to wait around if we beat shamrock

I can see things getting quite nasty if we win it up there. If Rovers had any sense or moral compass as a club, it would be fine but they don't. Us invading the pitch isn't really a problem as we'll be happy. Leave us at it and we'll be gone soon enough with no harm done. All they need to worry about is containing their own scum fans, they'll be the ones looking for trouble. It won't happen though because the nasty spiteful Dub nature runs to their very core. I just can't see it passing off without incident tbh.

Ah well surely our club are/will be aware of this potential powder keg situation. We should have our own security up there anyway so the spotlight will be on Rovers.

Did they cause trouble the last night?

Massive pitch invasion when they scored. Not a huge big deal but I found it ironic that security made a big deal out of ejecting a City fan for lighting a flare but couldn't manage the most basic part of their job in keeping fans off the pitch. Likewise, the Gardai were powerless to prevent that but had no problem descending in their droves to snuff out the "threat"of one pre-adolescent child. They were also nowhere to be seen when our bus was attacked less than 100 yards from the ground. Never underestimate how much the Jackeens collectively despise being shown up by culchie upstarts. I'll be watching my back big time anyway.

I seen the invasion when they scored but it's the first I have heard about the bus attack

I seen the invasion and I heard about the over the top questioning of that young fella but it's the first I heard of the bus attack

Luckily the driver was able to get away pretty quickly. A couple of cracked windows, nothing too bad. The annoying thing was the total lack of any guards. Too busy pinning that kid in a corner I'd say. The bus had barely left the stadium as well so they should have been around.

Was a weird one alright. I was driving  behind  and could see the young fellas all lining up for a good while waitng to take aim.Only for been stuck in the lights Id imagine my car would have been hit.

Such a shame really I know it would probably put off parents bringing their kids.

I often seen police ecsorts for Rovers buses leaving the Cross but not sure if thats just for the players.

Not needed as we dont have scumbags who will brick a bus thankfully.

Club need to cop on with this one. Robbie on his own is grand, he knows how to handle our crowd. There is no need for Jess or Alan Cronin. They'll just make the situation much worse. We all know what's going to happen. There will be flares and there will be an attempted pitch invasion.

I remember one time when we played them up in the RDS their security and cops were only laughing at us while the scum pissed into plastic cups and poured it down on top us from the stand above us But I think the worst thing that they done was outside turners x was to set fire to a young city fans scarf while it was draped around his neck

Not like Dawk. Cops up there escorted our bus for three miles outside the place. They were also outside the ground in numbers knowing the local scum were waiting for City fans exiting the ground.
