The draw for the 2008 Setanta Sports Cup will take place on Thursday January 17th at the SAS Radisson Hotel in Dublin Airport, kicking-off the fourth season of the highly successful tournament.
This season’s competition sees a change to the format, with the competition beginning in February and ending in October. The first round of matches will be played on February 26th, with a total of three series of matches being played by April 15th. The competition will then break before recommencing on September 1st with the remaining group fixtures, semi-finals, and the Final which is due to be played on October 18th.
Members of the media are invited to attend the draw for the 2008 Setanta Sports Cup. The details of the draw are as follows:

As champions of their respective leagues, Drogheda United and Linfield will be seeded in the draw.
