Last Sunday the snow had finally cleared enough to walk the Strada Delle 52 Gallerie (the Path of the 52 Tunnels) the most famous route up Monte Pasubio. It goes from roughly 1200m up to 2000m and was hacked out of the rock in eight months in 1917 by the Italian army to create a supply route to the top of the massif.
